Hickory and Willow, LLC
TidyPics privacy policy
Effective October 4, 2026
TidyPics does not send your rosters or photographs to Hickory and Willow, LLC. The app has no developer account system, analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
Information stored on your devices
TidyPics stores sessions, rosters, custom fields, notes, file-number records, and saved photo previews locally. Rosters can include names and contact details that you choose to enter. Supported FTP camera workflows also retain received photo files locally. You control this information.
Camera and companion connections
Canon connections use CCAPI on your local network. Selected Sony, Nikon, and Fujifilm models can send photographs to the app's foreground FTP receiver. Canon HTTP and plain FTP are not encrypted; use a trusted private network.
If you pair a Check-in companion, session roster information and Check-in changes are exchanged with that device over an encrypted local connection after Photo Station approval. Saved pairing credentials are stored on the device. TidyPics does not upload these records to a developer server.
For Canon attribution, the app may put an anonymous marker in the camera's Author setting. It contains no subject name or roster ID and may remain in photograph metadata. The app keeps the original setting locally for restoration and recovery.
Permissions
Local Network access supports camera and paired-device connections. Camera access is used to scan pairing codes and photograph a printed roster for import. Printed-roster text recognition is performed on the device using Apple's frameworks. The device camera is not used to take the event photographs.
Exports, backups, and deletion
You may export records or backups using Apple's file and sharing interfaces, including a cloud storage destination you choose. Those services apply their own privacy policies. iOS device backups may include app data according to your device settings. There is no live iCloud session sync.
You can delete sessions and associated local data in the app. Deleting the app removes its local storage; previously exported files, copies on paired devices, camera-card files, and device backups must be managed separately.
Purchases and iCloud
Apple processes subscriptions and payments. TidyPics receives purchase entitlement information to enable Pro, but does not receive payment-card details. A free-session usage marker is stored in your Apple Account's iCloud key-value storage to preserve the free-tier limit across reinstalls. It does not contain roster information or photographs.
External links and support
Opening vendor documentation or download links takes you to that provider's website, where its privacy policy applies. If you email support, we receive the information you choose to send and use it to respond to your request. This support website uses no analytics scripts or advertising; hosting services may process ordinary request information to deliver and secure the site.
Children's information
TidyPics is intended for photographers. Photographers control any information about children entered for school or sports events and are responsible for obtaining any required permissions and handling that information appropriately.
